I read the article "A Voting Issue That Isn't" by Eugene Robinson. He does a good job of highlighting the struggle that we will have to go through to preserve our right to vote against tough, powerful opposition. Also I enjoyed the simple way in which he explained the republican effort and showed how terrible it is.

  1. Robinson lays bare the fact that Republicans are using the idea of voter fraud and the seeming reasonableness of requiring an ID to prevent minority, poor and elderly citizens from voting. I also really liked when he said "The problem in this country isn’t too many people voting, it’s too few." The government should be doing everything to encourage more people to vote; there are already so many Americans that don't even care about politics. Good annotations, by the way; you went beyond just highlighting a couple of things.
